The school is quite small, as my graduating class is at 72 and considered a "bigger class". The school could also help fund the arts a little more, because compared to how much they fund the sports it is very little. As for the arts, the community is getting more supportive than they have been, but not great. I was only involved in two sports at my school, volleyball my freshman year and track my sophomore year (I swam at another school), but I enjoyed being involved in sports and the community is very supportive of the sports, especially football. While I feel that the education could be more competitive, the sports are pretty competitive. It is easy to "get by" with an A in most classes, some where in another school would be much harder. The amount of homework and studying you have to do at Panorama is typically very low. The lack of "finals" at the school does not prepare students for what college will be like. I feel that Panorama does not prepare students for college as well as other schools do. While I felt that I could ask a teacher for help and made connections with some of the staff, the education is not excellent. Overall I gave Panorama High School a rating of "okay". I think the school is doing a good job at making Panorama the safest it can be. It is very unlikely that anything would happen to our school because it is in a small town and is a small school, which is why we do not have metal detectors or security or police on duty, but the staff is prepared for the worse. The teachers have recently done the training in case a shooter came into the school, and are more aware of what to do in that situation. This was in case of an emergency the door would lock faster, but this became a problem because students would get locked out of the room if the magnet fell on accident and was later stopped. They also put a magnet over the lock part of the doors so if the magnet were taken out the door would automatically lock. Roughly 5 years ago they banned being able to carry around backpacks because they could carry weapons and were a fired hazard in the classroom and at lunch. The school has made various new rules over the years to make the school safer. We have had very few threats in the 4 years I've been there, which is a positive. It also was the studio for the High School Musical Film Series.I gave the safety rating for Panorama "it's okay". Panorama High School served as the location of the Costa Verde High School for Heroes (NBC) in late 2007.Led by head coach Richard Ramos, and assistant coach Abby Herrera, the 2013 girls wrestling team won first place in the CIF Los Angeles City Section.

The school won its second championship title, after forming it first ever full girls wrestling team in 2013. In 2010 the school gained its first city championship title when the 2010 boys varsity water polo team, led by head coach Nick Samara, won third place in the CIF Los Angeles City Section. The school has two gymnasiums, a heated swimming pool, one fitness room, and a weight room. The school has its own softball, baseball, water polo, football, basketball, soccer, volleyball, swimming, wrestling, and track teams. She was replaced by Elias de la Torre in September 2010. The first principal of Panorama High School, Sue Lepisto, retired in June 2010. By September 2010, Panorama cancelled the after school classes, leaving only after school tutoring instead. The after school classes were film production, dj music, urban art, sound art, etc. The school had previously had a variety of after school classes within an after school program from October 2007 to June 2010. Prior to having the name Panorama High School, the school was known as East Valley Area New High School #3. The opening allowed for Van Nuys High School to return to a traditional calendar. Panorama relieved overcrowding at Van Nuys High School, Birmingham High School, Monroe High School, and Polytechnic High School. In June 2008, the first students graduated from the school. Panorama opened in fall 2006 with grades 9, 10, and 11, and then added 12th grade in 2007.
